by AndersonsInfo inhttp://www.forum18.org/archive.php?article_id=2181.
24 may 2016. russia: jehovah's witnesses face possible liquidation.
by victoria arnold, forum 18. if prosecutors proceed with their threat to liquidate the jehovah's witness headquarters near st petersburg, thousands of local congregations across russia could also face prohibition of their activities and individuals could be vulnerable to criminal charges for expressing their beliefs, forum 18 notes.. the jehovah's witnesses' principal body in russia is under threat of dissolution as an "extremist" organisation after the deadline in an official warning from the general prosecutor's office expired on 10 may, forum 18 notes.

For some reason it doesn't sit well with Government Officials to have a group going around in public, undermining their efforts to keep the Country organized and stable, by saying that said Government is backed by the Devil and soon to be destroyed by God.
JW's cry "persecution" yet in a way, bring it upon themselves and even use it as a barometer of how well they are doing in terms of their prophesies.

You wear tight pants and you will be in trouble
by wannaexit ini was reading in another forum, that a letter to the elders instructed them to speak to anybody who persists in wearing tight pants.
if changes don't happen then the instructions are to disqualify him from being a publisher but it won't be announced to the congregation.
i am am curious to see if this letter will surface.

Now that Prince is gone, they're making up lost time.
Next thing you know, the brothers won't be able to wear eyeliner. (they're gonna look like hell warmed over, up on the platform come Sunday morning)

Someone anonymously tipped the elders?
by raven inso here an update on my current situation, in a nutshell i've been trying to quietly fade for the past 5 months.. well, my mom somehow found out that i am currently fading and that i live with my boyfriend (for more info on this check my previous posts) i told her yes i live with him and yes i no longer want to be a jw.
anyways, yesterday she met my boyfriend.. awkward.
and after lunch she pulled me aside to tell me that the po came up to her (he was part of my jc when i was reproved) he said to her "someone came to me and said - i cannot say who so they will remain anonymous- but that your daughter is living with someone" my mom confirmed and apparently he told her that i have one week to confess this, and if i don't my parents are obligated to tell them everything.. what kind of nonsense is that?

I'm getting the sense that either your Mom is telling you this so you'll go "out" yourself to the Elders (so she won't have to) or she was actually the one who reported you to the Elders and doesn't want to look like a snitch.
I'm thinking it might be best not to communicate with the Elders at all...make them come to you . Once you know your legal rights, tell your Mom that you are prepared to take legal action against anyone who tries to sully your reputation in any way. She may think twice about her actions and or relate this to the Elders and end this whole thing before it gets any further.
(Do a search of this site and read the posts of others who have given examples of warning letters to the elders from their Attorneys.)

by DangerMcDanger inmy name is jimbo, i'm almost 20 years old, and i live in southern california.
here we go, here's my story (i feel like i'm in an aa meeting haha):.
i was invited by a friend who, looking back, i could tell was buttering me up for months so she can lunge on the perfect opportunity to invite me to a meeting.

Me personally, the word "worldly" is bothersome to me now.
I always thought it was odd how they'd invite non JW's to the meeting and then proceed to bash everyone else on the planet and sentence them all to everlasting condemnation .
I didn't bother listening to all the hate against JW's because I tend to drown out white noise like when it comes to most topics in life anyhow.
Can you tell us what kind of hate against JW's you heard? They always said people were against us but as far as I could see, they barely knew we existed.

Has anyone been outed by jw health care workers?
by purrpurr incarrying on from audespare thread.
i was wondering how common it is for a sinner/apostate to be outed by a babbling jw care worker?
say you went to your dr because you were pregnant and unmarried or wanting counseling for having to live a double life as a pretend jw... and a jw secretary at the drs office saw this on your file and went tattling to the elders?.

On a related note there are reports that some elders who were psychologists had jw clients waive client/doctor rights so they could be reported in case of revealed wrongdoing during therapy.
Toward the last few years of my JW life, as I've mentioned here before, I was having a terrible time with anxiety. ( buy the way, it suddenly ended when I stopped going to meetings) One of the things I did to get to the bottom of it was to seek the help of a "Counselor" who a lot of JW's were going to because she was a Witness. She asked me to sign a paper that said to the effect that if during my therapy any "wrongdoing" was revealed, she would be obligated to inform the Elders.
Before we even got started, she asked me if I had been before the Elders ever and I told her that when I was younger, I went to them about something that that had happened years before was still bothering my conscience. The Elders said I was being overly conscientious and didn't need to worry about it. This "Counselor" then asked me to leave the room and called in my wife who was waiting out in the waiting area. It turns out she wanted to verify with my wife that she knew about what I had just told her.
A few minutes into the session, I got the sense that she seemed sad and quite troubled herself and she even told me she had at one time been DF'd at one point. Both my wife and I were annoyed about what she did and I never went back. A few months later at the District Convention, I turned around and there she was sitting behind us. It was pretty weird. Thinking back on this now, I should have reported her for this but at the time, I was too mentally taxed to add anything more.
If you live in the Seattle area and are thinking of seeing a JW Counselor named Lonnie.....RUN !

In addition to what others have said to you about getting professional advice. I'd advise you to be careful with over the counter medications and other forms of self medicating. You don't want to end up with a physical ailment in addition to the mental strain you are under.
I also advise you to visit this site only on occasion and only visit to let us know what's on your mind (if you find that helpful) and only read the comments others have made on your post. I wouldn't read any of the other posts and comments as it may be too much for you right now. It sounds like you are reaching, or have reached the saturation point with the topic of Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm guessing you already know all you need to know on that subject and may need to focus on your own peace of mind rather than what is going on in the JW and "former" JW world.
Sometimes enough is enough and dwelling on or rehashing over yours or others grievances about their experiences with that religion, may have stopped being therapeutic and may not be healthy for you at this point.
It's common knowledge that stress is often the cause of headaches and other more serious ailments. At this point you may need to avoid other stressors such as watching certain movies or television shows and especially the news.
